About this course

The Investigative interviewing series of modules will provide investigators with a baseline of theory and knowledge behind methods and strategies to help with the development of their skill in the field of interviewing. 

Referencing the ‘PEACE’ model it will take the interviewer through the theory and practice they will need to understand before they put the learning into practice. Relevant to any role that includes interviewing for any reason, including in a criminal or civil context, this series of modules will set the learner up for success when conducting interviews.



Part 1: 'Principles' will introduce the investigator to the theory of interviewing providing the learner with a baseline of knowledge required before conducting interviews in their role or within a more formal setting and the importance behind planning interviews for victims, witnesses and suspects.
